The morning's excursion takes you toMutianyu Great Wall, one of the world's wonders. Constructed in the Ming Dynasty, Mutianyu is one of the best preserved sections, with spectacular surrounding natural scenery. The wall, dotted with beacon towers, stretches along mountain ridges for miles, resembling a huge flying dragon. We arrange for you to take the roundtrip cable car to reach and descend the wall. Free time will be left for you to climb the Great Wall. Head to Simatai Great Wall in the afternoon. Spend the afternoon wandering around theGuibei Water Town, which is at the foot of the Great Wall. You can also enjoy a soak in ahot springif you want to. When it gets dark, your guide will accompany you to take the cable car up to the Simatai section to enjoy thestunning night views, which is a different experience from the day version. The whole morning will be devoted to the Terracotta Army Museum, which is reputed as the eighth wonder of the world. Constructed as an accessory pit of the mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 – 210 BC) more than 2,200 years ago, its discovery in the year 1974 shocked the world. Here you can not only witness the large-scale underground armies but also view the ancient weapons and bronze chariots and horses. Then you will be guided to visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, built during 707 – 710 AD in the Tang Dynasty. Today’s last stop is the ancient City Wall of Xi'an, which is the largest and best-preserved old city wall in China. The old buildings in the ancient style are the memory of the busy water transportation on the Li River in the past. Then you will take a ferry and a local farmer's taxi (a kind of motorbike with three wheels) to the local market.
